Flight Operations Pilot Job Description
Fly with a remote sensing leader in the Northwest. Seeking Flight Operations Pilot to fly single-pilot in company-owned Mooney aircraft to service customers’ requests for remote sensing. The success of the business depends on safety, teamwork and the timely, efficient and accurate gathering of data with a semi-automated fixed aerial imaging platform.
Day to day, a pilot for Eagle Digital Imaging works on-demand as determined by weather. In flight, the Pilot will be responsible for balancing the need for conducting a safe flight while efficiently gathering data via a camera. Endurance, flexibility and good communication skills are a necessity to handle the varying demands which can arise in a dynamic company like Eagle.

Duties and Responsibilities-Initial (1- 2 months)
- Safe operating of aircraft at all times
- Be rested and fresh in order to fly long days back to back, imaging large areas safely and efficiently.
- Ability to keep detailed reports
- Correlate current weather reports with flight plans in order to make go-no go decisions
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others
- Safely fly a plane with less than 2 degrees bank and plus or minus 50 feet alt. in 5 minute segments for a majority of the day
- Responsibilities require weekend and holiday availability
- Be able to travel overnight
- Be open-minded to learning new skills and willing to share new ideas
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
Duties and Responsibilities-Ongoing
- Learn the camera system and be able to troubleshoot, install, and maintain it
- Become familiar with FAA maintenance practices to facilitate maintenance oversight
- Become familiar with and participate in image processing
- Participate in flight planning and dispatching
- Participate in extended operations away from base (2013)
- Understand project status and participate in problem resolutions
Skills and Specifications Preferred
- Commercial SEL, instrument rating, and second class medical.(minimum)
- 1500hrsTT, 1000hrs XC, 100 actual inst. (may receive credit for professional experience)
- Skill in operating personal computer systems in the MS Windows environment
- 3yrs. Professional Pilot experience required
- 4yr college degree
- Have a working knowledge of aircraft mechanics in order to effectively communicate aircraft squawks to maintenance personnel or perform maintenance as defined in the FAR’s
Jobs start in April and May. Training to start in Feb.
$2500/month. Upgrades available to Advanced Level photo pilot
