Image Processing Department Manager

As the Image Processing Department Manager you will be in charge of the team that transforms the thousands of original digital photos taken by the pilots into the final images that are delivered to our customers.
Responsibilities
- Ensure that all projects are completed at a high level of quality and timeliness.
- Constantly monitor image quality and consistency to maintain Eagle’s level of excellence.
- Track project priorities and deadlines.
- Update and improve the Image Processing Procedures Manual as new methods and techniques are developed.
- Hire, train, and manage Image Processing Technicians for each summer flying season.
- Manage R&D projects related to image processing including new software, new processing techniques, etc.
- Interact with other departments to answer questions, provide images, and participate in company meetings.
Skills/Qualifications
Required:
- Leadership and/or personnel management experience
- Professional attitude including reliability, attention to detail, and self-motivation
- Ability to work in a relationship based, team environment
- Very detail-oriented and maintain quality under pressure
- Ability to precisely follow procedures and directions
- Ability to work quickly without loss of quality
- Ability to accept constructive criticism
- Flexible with respect to duties, techniques, task changes, etc.
- Interest in constant improvement of work quality, speed, etc.
- Extensive computer knowledge (file structures, hard disk/data management, backups, networking, etc.)
- Interest in photos and photography
Helpful:
- Knowledge of photography
- Experience with Photoshop and adjusting photo color
- Experience with programming
- Knowledge of GIS
Compensation
- $14 to $20 per hour depending on experience
Work Schedule/Environment
- Typical office environment
- Full-time hours Monday through Friday with some overtime as required
- Possibility of part-time employment November through February
