Aerial images allow you to visualize what is going on in an entire field from a direct overhead view. Our high-quality true-color images can show you variations in growth vigor, uncovering potential problems and readily showing the extent of a problem. Our images are delivered orthorectified, georeferenced, and GIS-ready: They will work with your GIS (geographic information system) and can be combined with other GIS layers (soil samples, soil analysis, petiole sampling, etc) to improve their usefulness. You can prioritize your field inspections. Our images will instantly show you which fields are uniformly lush and green, and which are off-color or spotty and in need of attention to improve their yield potential.
Our orthorectified, georeferenced images can also be used as input to create the growth vigor zones on an NDVI for variable rate technology ("precision Ag") systems. Our EagleView software facilitates this process, allowing you, the local expert, to interactively create the boundaries of the zones and then specify the prescription for each.
By enabling you to use the optimum amount of fertilizer and other materials for each part of a field, variable rate technology has the potential to improve crop yield while reducing the amount and therefore cost of applications.
